Medicine Cabinet w/ Mirror Build Part 1 – V11 –
Build & Video Dedication – Bob North, RIP.
This build we get into a brand new build! Yet again a build that you can do! Woodworking should be available to everyone and we are here to help you achieve your goals…
We start by cutting our 1 3/4″ wide frame rails to size and and create a dado along the inside edge to accept a 1/4″inch around the perimeter of the mirror itself!
Once the Dado grooves are cut we get into our half lap joints for each corner of the mirror. We also ad in some cherry spacers to the two bottom corners to add a bit of flare/style and to help with the fact we used scrap lumber for this build and my bottom rail is slightly under our needed length!
Once all is assembled, glued and clamped we start with the main cabinet the will enclose the belly of the Medicine Cabinet…
With a sleek routed profile around the entire front edge and the two shelves we installed this cabinet will serve my parents of years to come!
Watch for PART 2, the staining the Medicine Cabinet. We use a Ebony Stain from Minwax and finish it with a lacquer!
