This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko 18175CNB Clear Anodized Aluminum Nylon Brush Gasketing.
This has a very large brush/bristle and a large extrusion as you can see.
A door sweep like this will be used in installations where you have sliding doors and there is a tremendous gap below and you’re looking to seal that off.
This can also be used where you’ve got a very large undercut beneath the door.
You might also apply this as an astragal (for unusual gaps).
The 18175 represents the profile of this item.
The ‘C’ represents the clear anodized finish (if you order the ‘C’ color you’ll receive the gray bristle.
‘NB’ stands for the nylon brush.
There is an image below this video showing everything important dimensionally about the item.
The height of the extrusion is 1-3/8″, the height of your bristle is 1-3/4″.
The overall height is 3-1/8″.
The projection is 3/8″.
Available in different colors.
Includes screws in a complimentary finish.
This item is also available in several lengths as well.
If you have need for a custom length by all means let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicating in the comment field what size you’d like for us to cut the material back to.
The reason for that is if you had to cut this 36″ piece down to 34″, you’d eliminate that slotted hole and be forced to drill another one.
It’s tough to drill a slotted hole.
The slotted holes are nice to have because they allow you to have a small amount of vertical adjustment (compensated for an uneven sill or a door not hug plum).
If you order a custom length we’ll not only locate the holes in the proper dimensions from the edge, but also the proper center to center as well.
Pemko is a full-line manufacturer of all things weatherstripping related, residential and commercial as well.

Its time to submit another piece of tech to the ultimate test of waterproofing. The J&L Speaker can be found HERE: http://amzn.to/2h6s9Ut with $10 discount code: 7GYZVQSL
Many pieces of technology claim to be ‘Water Resistant’ and then hope that customers will subconsciously think ‘waterproof’ when in reality those two terms are very different. Luckily, this speaker has some beastly waterproofing measures taken against liquid. I would trust this speaker more than I would the iPhone or Samsung phones around water.
Let me know what you think! Would you sink your speaker or phone? or would you use the waterproofing as an extra layer of protection?
