Second week of adding nutrients to the hydroponic set-up. I’ve removed the domes from the onion trays and reseeded the cells that didn’t germinate. A look at the aerogarden and the time lapse video of the garden taken between January 7th and February 10th.

This video is to bring you a closer look at the Zero 135. This is a piece of glass edge protection typically used on vertical sides of glass and specifically for 1/2″ glass. This features what they call a PSA and you will see that referred to down in the image below this video which stands for pressure sensitive adhesive, which is the tape by which you are going to held onto the edge of glass. You can get it pulled off there and begin to work it down. Knowing Zero, it is probably 3M brand adhesive which is what they typically use and in my experience basically means the best adhesive that I have ever come in contact with. The dimensional properties and again this is for 1/2″ glass. The calipers are not going to help very accurately to determine that. Down at the base is .49 down here. Overall depth of the item from the outside is going to be right about .608 or about 9/16″. This does have a small raceway for which you can apply like a self-adhesive bristle or pile. When you do that, it changes the part number. There is a link below the video to a document called the product brochure where you can review how that part number will change. You see the part number 135 and also the sister product 136 for 3/4″ glass. Doors like that are typically called herculite doors. If you take the 135 and add bristle, that will give you the part number 137. Again, it is pile and not bristle. So 137, they will run that pile down the center there. You want that 136 as a pile version, then it would be the 138. Also you will see on that document that product brochure other polycarbonate seals and that is what this is called is PVC and different than polycarbonate. I am not sure of the exact differences between PVC and polycarbonate, but nonetheless a rigid plastic material. You can see that for 1/2″ glass they don’t really have anything else because those polycarbonate seals are used for doors that are measured in millimeter thickness specialty type products that you will see perhaps in automatic door applications. My guess is that if you had a door operating system by Doormatic or maybe not Doormatic but Dorma would be what I would potentially think it could be by Dorma. Dorma is a company that is a European company and has a large presence in the United States making it possible that the material is more European in terms of dimensional properties and is probably where the polycarbonate seals are for. Finally, there is also below this video a link to the manufacturer’s page and before I get to that, this is of course available in all of the common lengths from 2′ to 8′. If you need a custom length, I wholly suggest and urge you to order the net custom length and have Zero cut it to length, and ship it out that way. Suffice that I say it is crucial that you order it the net size so that you don’t have to cut it in the field whatsoever and it would be in your best interest to have it provided at the net length for you. So order the next longest piece and indicate in the comment field what net length you want it shipped out at and that is how it will be shipped out. Finally, there is a link below this video to the manufacturer’s page where you can pull up the Zero products that we sell but also a link to the manufacturer’s website along with a link to the full product catalog. The crucial point of the full product catalog is that Zero has a comprehensive of quite unique approaches to solving weatherstripping problems. They have profiles of material that they have come up with as a result of solving specific engineering problems when it comes to sealing a door and they are a leader in that regard and have been for many years. What you will also notice is that they have a comprehensive offering of STC which is sound transmission control gasketing. They are a leading name in that material, so if you are looking for STC rated material, go right to the Zero catalog. If you have any questions on the Zero 135 Glass Edge protection for 1/2″ doors, feel free to reach out to us. Before I wrap this up, let me give you a couple of more dimensional properties. The thickness of the blade which will overlap the face of the door is going to be about; it is thicker at the base than the top. The base dimension will be about .067″ and then the dimension from the back side of the paper tape to the absolute leading edge of the unit of the glass edge protector is 1/8″ or .125″. Any questions on the Zero 135 glass edge protector for 1/2″ glass or any other Zero product, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you.
