This innovation was developed when a customer had a problem with an outdoor power generator cabinet. They needed an effective seal between the door and the cabinet to protect the electronics inside from water and dust etc.
It saved them over 50% of their total installation costs
The problem with door seals is that traditionally you have to mitre the rubber seal and then glue the two surfaces together.
Easier than it sounds. The angles have to be right and even then after gluing they tend to fail in use. That can mean down time for whatever equipment is affected by the failure. The customer was seeing downtime on equipment that was connected to this generator. Not good.
Devicetech is an expert at creating solutions to customer problems so they created a product to solve this problem. They use a vulcanization process to make a permanent seal and a convenient one piece assembly.
Using the already successful Seal-Fast door seal, they mitre the pieces to form the corners. Then using a bonding film and heat and pressure they bond the two materials together.
