It’s here – the new Green Bin used to collect organics that are made into compost. It’s armed with many new features, including an improved animal resistant locking mechanism. Bin deliveries began in the Scarborough Community late April. Within 18 month’s they’ll be city-wide.

Video opens with: collage of various Scarborough signs to indicate the action is happening in the Scarborough Community (e.g. signs for Scarborough Town Centre; Scarborough Civic Centre; Kennedy Rd.; Mike Myers Way)
Cutaway: to kitchen inside a typical Scarborough home where homeowner is tying up a plastic bag of organics that’s sitting inside his Kitchen Catcher container in preparation for taking it outside to the new Green Bin.
Cutaway: Resident seen exiting front door of his house with the small tied plastic bag of organics.
Cutaway: Resident is seen turning the black dial which is the lock/unlock mechanism on the top of the bin lid to open the new Green Bin. Point-of-view shot of resident (face visual) looking into the bin as he drops bag of organics in.
Cutaway: Resident closes the bin lid and wheels the bin to the foot of driveway to set it out for collection with opening of the bin lid facing the street to ensure service, keeping the required distance between it and the Blue Bin full of recycling that is also set out for collection.
Cutaway: Resident is seen from behind as he walks away from the set out bins back up the driveway towards the house.
Cutaway: Scene shifts to a wooded forest area (daytime) with a someone wearing a raccoon costume skipping out of the woods towards the set out Green Bin hoping for a free meal.
Cutaway: View of raccoon approaching the bin from across the street from the house. Raccoon makes various attempts to open the lid, get into the bin (shakes bin, tries to pry lid open, throws its body onto the bin once it’s laying on the ground. All attempts fail and raccoon gestures frustration and failure.
Cutaway: Scene shifts back to the wooded forest area and raccoon is seen wearing a man’s necktie and carrying a briefcase skipping out of the woods.
Cutaway: Raccoon is partially seen at the photo copier making copies of what we see is a resume called “Ricky’s resume”. The raccoon must be looking for a job.
Cutaway: Raccoon is now in a typical office boardroom with a pointer in its hand making reference to information on a presentation board to a group of human office workers sitting around the boardroom table.
Cutaway: Scene shifts to the raccoon’s office cubicle (desk features computer, framed photo of baby raccoons depicting his family; paperwork, telephone). Raccoon is seated at his desk and is receiving a pay check from a lady who is partially visible in the shot.
Cutaway: Scene shifts to interior of a typical small retail store in a strip plaza that sells pizza slices. Shop worker in background is by an open pizza oven and employee in foreground wearing apron is bringing a cooked pizza pie up to the display counter area. Raccoon is standing by counter thinking about what type of pizza he will buy.
Cutaway: Raccoon is seen sitting at a table inside this small pizza shop eating a slice of pizza.
Cutaway: Letters fly into the scene to form the sentence that says “No more free meals.”
