The video shows a laying of a laminate paste with the production of a construction unit in the layer building method.
Mix well the components in the indicated mixing proportion. Lay on the mixture in thin layers with a brush. Wait until the surface resin gels; however, also make sure that it is still quite sticky in order to begin the next step. It is recommended that two layers of the surface resin are laid on, before the clutch layer is applied.
Note: between surface resin and under model a clutch layer must be applied.
With smaller quantities use gloves to mix by hand/knead until the color is homogeneous; with larger quantities use a mixing unit. With use of a mixing unit, keep mixture time as short (under 2 min.) as possible. During applying, use rubber gloves and apply on the form layer by layer, easily overlapping into one another from pressure or over an auxiliary form with spacer strips in the necessary layer strength to unroll, take off and present. Simple outlines consolidating the paste layer take place manually via pressing in slightly with rubber gloves or rolling with a roller. Consolidate complicated outlines with steel wool and smooth.
Being warmer than the standard 20C room temperature as well as blank hardening systems improves the products final characteristics. In systems with a glass transformation temperature, Tg larger than 70-80° C must be annealed according to the data on the data sheet.
Steps in this procedure:
- Surface resin: With the application of a thin layer, different surface properties can be obtained (hard to flexible, chemical stability, polished etc.)
- Laminating with pastes: Much production of negative forms etc. snaps in the comparison to the laminate building method, since the necessary layer strength of the bowl can be applied during processing.
