Hey guys. John here with realtruck.com. Today I want to show you how to install the Stampede Ruffridrz black textured fender flares onto this 2014 Chevy Silverado. As you see here, we’ve got our fender flares laid out. Not enough room on the box. These things come in a set of four. We’ve just got the passenger side laid out here, the front one and the rear one for the passenger side of the truck. So you have your textured fender flares which are really, really awesome with this nice textured finish on them and also with the bolt-on look, it gives your truck more of an aggressive look to it. And they also provide an additional 2 1/2 inches of tire coverage so that means if you got a little wider tire on your truck, you need something on there to cover up that tire, here you go. This is the thing for you. It also comes with all your attaching hardware and your seal molding that goes around your fender flare and your instructions as well. So what I’m going to do here is I’ll start showing you how to put these together so that we can get these on this truck.
The first thing we’re going to do is install the rubber gasket and what we need to do is take the red tape here. I already started the edge of it a little bit because it takes a little bit to get that going. But we want to pull back about two or three inches to get this started. And then we’re going to put it on with the tape is going to the inside of our flare. So we’re going to start this on here. We’ve got our rubber gasket to hone all the way around. So what we’re going to do now then is we’re going to take a pair of scissors and we’re just going to snip it off right here at the end just like so. And then the next thing we’re going to do is we’re going to start installing our bolts into these holes.
What we’re going to do then is we’re going to take our bolts and we’re going to put a washer on them. And then we’re just going to put them through the hole. And then we have a self-locking nut that we’re going to put on the back, back here. Don’t over-tighten these, these just have to be snugged. They’re not real, they’re not really holding anything on. Okay guys, you see there? Just tight enough to get the threads into the nyloc part of the self-locking nut and keep it tight so that it doesn’t rattle around.
