This is the continuing adventure with Boden Construction’s first InSoFast This is the continuing adventure with Boden Brothers Construction’s their first InSoFast install. In this video the Boden brothers, Chris and Dan will talk us through the drywall installation process. Once that the InSoFast is in place and completed the wall is ready for the electrician to run the wiring through the pre-engineered raceways. You can find more detailed information about running wires through InSoFast in our other videos.
After the electrician leaves the site it is best to inspect your thermal barrier and repair, seal, and insulate the wall with spray foam filling all gaps and cracks and other potential air leaks. Once this is done you can install your finish materials like sheet rock/ drywall or cement board.
Prior to attaching drywall or gypsum board. InSoFast panels have 3 vertical fastening strips @ 16″ on center which act like studs for the attachment of drywall or sheet rock board. The drywall can be attached by screwing it to the vertical studs using standard 1 5/8″ coarse thread drywall or sheet rock screws. The InSoFast panels provide a solid backing for the sheet rock so the edges of the drywall will not flex and crack at the seams. The drywall or sheet rock should be fastened every 8″ on center at the edge of the drywall and at every 16″ on center through the middle of the drywall.

InSoFast can replace z furring and rigid foam insulation for insulating a basement. Our customer’s review’s state that we are faster and less expensive then spray foam applications and a better value for the price. With our built in studs our walls are flat and it is easier to hang sheet rock on to our wall system. So if you have a concrete or a cmu concrete block wall to finish and insulate consider using InSoFast for a better less expensive project
